ACADEMY
Stories are powerful and have the potential to alter people’s perceptions of the world around them. Break Free Academy focuses on creating lasting social impact through film. By focusing on stories centered around marginalized groups, we strive to carve new paths and break down social barriers to create a more inclusive society.
We offer training courses for professionals in any work field or organizations looking to increase awareness about inclusivity and are looking for practical tools to apply the concept to their job or organization.
Also, we offer online educational courses for students and anyone who would like to enhance their professional- as well as their personal development with regards to inclusivity awareness and practice.
Based on the short film Dive Deep, about an 18-year-old skater with a physical disability, this program offers an innovative course, committed to improving a deeper understanding of disability and inclusivity.
Through a series of engaging modules and interactive experiences, students, working professionals and organizations are challenged to increase their level of understanding of, and are provided with hands-on tools to effectively deal with, disability related issues.
Partners of Dive Deep consists of parties, such as: Dutch Film Fund, Amsterdam Fonds voor de Kunst, VSB Fonds, KNR-PIN, Municipality of ’s-Hertogenbosch, Welzorg, and the Inclusive Film Foundation.
